  • 4 Cups of All-Purpose Flour

  • 1 Tablespoon of Salt

  • 2 Teaspoons of Sugar

  • 2 Teaspoons of Instant yeast

  • 1 Cup of Water

  • 1/4 Cup of Vegetable Oil



  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Coat the bottom and sides of a baking sheet with oil.

  2. In a large bowl stir together the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Add the water and oil, stir until a soft, sticky dough forms. Knead the dough for 2-3 folds on a flour surface. Dig a knuckle into the dough is no longer sticky.

  3. Let the dough rise, covered with a cloth, for 30 minutes.

  4. Turn the dough into the Cast Iron Pan and stretch it out to fill the pan. With your fingertips, make imprints all over the dough. Brush the dough all over with oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Bake for 18 minutes or until golden brown. Let focaccia sit for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
